Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to HuarenTong (華人通). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and HuarenTong. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HuarenTong.

Platform Description

HuarenTong is a professional services marketplace and expert directory for overseas Chinese communities. We provide expert profiles, user reviews, resource articles, city guides, featured businesses and restaurants, and service request posting and matching.

HuarenTong is not a provider of tax, legal, immigration, real estate, medical, or other professional services. Experts, businesses, and restaurants listed on the platform are independent third parties. HuarenTong does not employ, represent, or guarantee them.

Eligibility and Accounts

You represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter these Terms; that information you provide is true, accurate, and complete; and that you will use the platform lawfully.

You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials associated with your use of HuarenTong and for activity under your account.

Service Requests and Matching

When you submit a service request through features such as "Post Request," you authorize HuarenTong to share your information with potentially suitable experts or providers. Matching depends on expert availability, willingness to respond, and your specific needs. We do not guarantee a match or a response within any timeframe.

Any communication, quote, contract, or transaction between you and an expert occurs directly between you and that expert. HuarenTong is not a party to those dealings.

Expert Profiles and Verification

Experts may create public profiles on HuarenTong. Profile content is supplied by experts or their authorized representatives. We do not guarantee completeness or ongoing accuracy.

The platform may display verification status (e.g., Verified, Pending, Unverified). Verification reflects our review of submitted documents at the time of review and is not an endorsement of service quality or suitability. See our Verification Policy for details.

Reviews

Users may submit reviews of experts. All reviews must comply with our Review Policy. HuarenTong may remove reviews that violate the policy or appear fraudulent without prior notice.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: register or use the platform under a false identity or another person's information; post false, misleading, or malicious reviews; harass, threaten, or discriminate against users or experts; upload viruses or malware or engage in activity that disrupts the platform; scrape, copy, or commercially exploit platform content without authorization; or violate applicable law or infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, interface design, software, and other platform content (except content submitted by experts) are owned by HuarenTong or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, HuarenTong disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

HuarenTong is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, interactions with third-party experts, or reliance on platform content. If liability is found, our total liability is limited to the greater of amounts you paid HuarenTong in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to HuarenTong at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, liability limits, and intellectual property) remain in effect.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, exclusive jurisdiction lies with courts in California.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The updated version is effective when posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
